'Imyr' Ceraudo 2025

The white "Imyr" by Ceraudo is a pure Chardonnay aged in wood, which offers soft and enveloping sensations, with a warm and Mediterranean profile and with aromas of ripe fruit and tropical hints of great expressive richness. The noble Burgundy grape has shown a great ability to adapt even to regions with a warmer climate than its homeland. Thanks to its extraordinary plasticity, it manages to interpret the terroir in which it is cultivated and to modulate its characteristics, bringing its best qualities to the forefront, expressed according to local peculiarities.

The Chardonnay "Imyr" is born in the vineyards cultivated along the Calabrian Ionian coast, in the countryside around Strongoli Marina, in a typically Mediterranean landscape, among centuries-old olive trees and citrus trees that fade into the blue of the sea. The vines are about 25 years old and are grown under certified organic farming on sandy soils, located about 100 meters above sea level with a southeast exposure. After the harvest, the grapes are fermented in French oak barrels for 5 months followed by a ripening period lasting another 5 months always in barrels.

Imyr Ceraudo is a tribute to the great Chardonnay grape, by a producer who usually prefers to work with indigenous grapes. Thanks to the knowledge of the terroir and the desire to always highlight its best characteristics, the wine takes on a typically Mediterranean face, which makes its character unique and recognizable. It presents itself with a beautiful bright golden yellow. The aromas are intoxicating, with notes of ripe yellow fruit, exotic fruit, iodine puffs, hints of dried fruit, and delicate nuances of vanilla. The sip is of great richness and aromatic breadth, with good complexity and persistence, always well balanced by a pleasant freshness that leads to a savory and marine finish.
